Trip to Tagaytay 2012

Since last year I promised myself to take a trip every first day of the year to treat myself and Sean for the whole year of hard work.  Last year we took a dip in the warm and refreshing water of Pagsanjan Lodge’s pools with my brother’s family.  This time, since my mom didn’t allow us to spend New Year in Baguio City, me and Sean went to Tagaytay City instead.

We left the house at 11 in the morning on the first day of 2012.  We took the shuttle service at Star Mall in Mandaluyong.  We reached Tagaytay at exactly 3 pm.  I decided to go to Tagaytay Zoo first since we don’t have the hotel/inn yet.  We left the zoo at 5 pm and waited for a jeepney to Olivares where I saw few hotels.

Before reaching Olivares (Rotonda) we hopped out the jeepney and started querying for a cheap hotel.   Ok, my budget is just around 1 thousand pesos and hotels in the area costs almost 3k.  We ate at Burger Machine to fill Sean’s tummy.  I had a chat with a tricycle driver and he told me he know some cheap inns in Picnic Grove area.  It sounds good to me since our next destination is Picnic grove.  We found Amora’s House which costs us 1,800 per night.  We had a wonderful dinner (the most delicious tinola I’ve ever tasted) and slept soundly.

We woke up at 7, had our breakfast and headed the Picnic Grove.  I discovered that there’s a hostel in the area.  I inquired for the fee and it is the same with Amora’s.  I did horseback riding  and it’s my first time and first time to undergo fish spa. I’ve been seeing this for some time but never thought of trying it.  But because of Sean I did it!

Me and Sean had a wonderful time.  Sean even asked me, “Mom, where will be our next adventure?”  Now I am thinking where the next short trip would be… You have any suggestion?

Dream House

If I’m going to have my own house, I want the kitchen and the comfort/ shower room to be the most beautiful part of the house.  I want it to be like the one in the pics.  This what the shower rooms in Lake Hotel in Tagaytay City looks like.  Isn’t it lovely?  Wishing for this doesn’t mean bath vanity huh?
Another part of the house I want to put effort is the kitchen.  I want it to be in Western style.  Isn’t it inspiring to cook for your loved ones in a stunning kitchen?  Mmmmm….

Spoiled Vacation

Too bad I didn’t able to take vacation in Baguio City or in Tagaytay last summer due to some reasons.  What I planned was to be a backpacker with Sean.  I’m very sure he will love it.  I’m thinking of going there this season for a break from work.  Mmmmmm…. I wonder if there are electric fireplaces in the area coz I’m sure its already cold in those places.  But on second thouhgt… I can’t!!! Tatay is with me since last week and I can’t go away for long.  Stay Arlene! Stay! Hahahaha…

Seminar Getaway

As of this writing I am here in our room at the Development Authority of the Philippines (DAP), Tagaytay City, Philippines for a 3-day seminar on Financial Management System.  The venue is soothing cool, the climate I always wanted.  I’ve been in this hotel for the 2nd time and I found it comfortable to stay. Some of the rooms are under renovation now while the workers are in their safety products for accident prevention.

I’m planning to bring Sean here and roam around if I have time.  I’m sure he’ll love to visit Tagaytay Zoo again.  I’m hoping and praying that the seminar facilitators will give us enough time to go to  Picnic Grove and experience their new attractions Cable Car and Zip Line.
