Laryngotracheobronchitis
Do someone know the simple word for this illness? My son once again hospitalized because of this. The symptoms? Severe coughing. I gave my son cough medicine for 2 days from the sign of cough but it didn’t relieve him and if you hear him cough especially at bedtime, you’ll pity him. So I sent him to Sta. Lucia Health clinic to have a check up and the doctor advice me to confine him in the hospital. She gave me referral.
As we entered the room. Well, what would I expect? it’s a ward room. There were 6 beds. Sean’s bed was already prepared. I just wish they used sferra sheets on his bed. Hahahaha… silly me. Sean stayed in the hospital for 3 days (negative to pneumonia) but unfortunately he still coughing. Dr. Domasian just gave us home medication to continue. It’s been a week now but still Sean have cough. Now I am giving him Lagundi and I noticed that he is better now. I’ll keep praying that he will be completely healed.
Ondoy – the Killer Typhoon chapter 1
After over a month now, this is the only time that I’m gonna write about the killer typhoon Ondoy. It was September 26, 2009 morning at around 5:30 a.m. when I received a text from my sister-in-law asking me to take over her from watching my brother who was confined at Victoria’s Hospital in Marikina. Since the weather is calm and no trace that it would be a rainy day, I rushed to the hospital equipped with two MSI netbooks (my brother’s and mine) since I know I’ll be there for the whole day.
At around 9 o’clock in the morning, the rain started to pour. But it didn’t give anyone of us in the hospital worry that it would become a disaster since the rain is not that hard and there’s no gusty wind. At around one in the afternoon, I received a text from my cousin Amy telling me to go home because according to her our house is already submerged in flood. I replied with “Am I the one you are texting? It might be a mis send” because for the entire 6 years of living in Cainta Greenpark, Rizal there were never an instance of flood in my area. She replied back saying…. “Yes it’s you who I am texting, Gina and Sean (househelp and my son) already evacuated to your neighbor “, who happened to have a 2-storey house…

Gallbladder Removal
Holiday Season is over and can’t forget that I spent my Christmas Eve in the hospital. Yes! you read it right. In the hospital! I watched over my brother together with my sister-in-law who suffered from cholelithiasis in Victoria Hospital in Marikina. He didn’t undergo cholelithotomy (gallstone removal) but cholecystectomy (gall bladder removal) don’t know why not the first surgery instead.
Do you wonder how the stones build up?… The gallbladder is not a vital organ, we can live without it. Its function is to store bile, concentrate it, and release it during digestion. Bile is supposed to retain all of its chemicals in solution, but commonly one of them crystallizes and forms sand, gravel, and finally stones.
My brother also tried natural way to dissolve the stones before but didn’t work out maybe because his stones are already huge. Do you wonder how the operation like?
You gotta watch this… cholecystectomy
I had goosebumps while watching this video, can’t even imagine it happened to my brother and may happen to me too. So if you’re a person who’s fond of eating foods which contain lot of cholesterol and fats??? Better stop the wrong eating habit now!
