Shipped Back Home

A man and his “ever-nagging demanding wife” went on vacation in Jerusalem . While they were there, the wife passed away.

The undertaker suggested to the husband, “Sir, you can have her buried in the Holy Land for $150 or you can have her shipped back home for $5000!”

The husband thought about it and told the undertaker, “Thanks, but I think I have her body shipped back home.”

The undertaker asked, “Why would you spend $5000 to have her shipped back home when you can have a beautiful burial here in the Holy Land? Plus, and it would only cost you $150…”

“You see… Long time ago, a man died here and was buried here. Then… three days later, he rose from the dead…! I’m sorry… but I just can’t take that chance!” the husband replied.

Missing Hobbies

These pics were taken few years back. Long before I became a mom.  You can see I am not a traditional type of woman who just stay at home and do the usual household chores (though I do those stuffs too).  I love outdoor activities such as mountain hiking, swimming, riding a motorbike, etc… I’m kinda adventurous person (di halata ano?).  Actually I miss doing these things.  Didn’t able to do it eversince I became mom.  I have my priorities now and besides noone to accompany me anymore.  Friends became busy to their own stuffs.
I miss the feeling when on the mountain’s peak.  It feels like I’m on top of the world (though literally I am hahaha…)  Let me choose going to the mall or outdoors, I’ll choose outdoors for I love nature so much.  How I wish to go back hiking again but I guess I have to see someone from insurance marketing. You know what I mean. Hahahaha…   And gather all my camping gadgets too.

Summer Skin Diseases

I was surprised when I heard the news that this humid and super hot climate we’re experiencing right now can cause skin diseases. The first informations I gathered is that it’s affecting person with hypertension and just a minor skin dryness, but I was alarmed when I heard that it can cause skin lesions too.  The person I knew who had this was absent from work for days now.  She said that she got it from the humid air which touches her face when commuting to and from work.  Our skin is also prone to acne, dryness, burnt, etc… Good that there are expert dermatologists who know the best treatment for adult acne, dryness and burnt.
I am so worried these days because I often work in field.  Whenever I travel in jeepneys and tricycles, I can feel the humid air touched my face and sometimes I feel a hot sensation on my face.  How I  wish there’s fx or taxi in my area.  But there’s none!!! Waaahhhhhhh….

Damaged Ozone Layer

This El Nino Phenomenon thing already damaged billions of pesos of our Agricultural crops and it’s still on going.  Too bad that it will still last for some time.  Due to extensive heat,  houses made of woods easily get burned which resulted to massive lost of properties.  And it also damages people’s health.  We  heard from the news that some died from heat stroke.  So what are some of the precautions that we must do to refrain from heat stroke?  If you have a hypertension, take your medication religiously, or take irvingia or vitamins.  When you’re always exposed to the sun, bring wet towels and always drink liquids to avoid dehydration.  And don’t forget to apply sunblock for your skin protection. Always exposed to ultraviolet rays is no joke.
Is this El Nino the result of the damaged Ozone Layer?  If this is one, do you wonder how hot it is in the coming years?  Are we going to experience climate in Middle East?  Now, it reached 37 degree?  How hot in the future??? My gosh!  I don’t want to think about it.

Reminiscing High School Days

I just attended (for the first time) Roosevelt College Marikina’s Alumni Homecoming.  I went with my former classmate Met Met who became a dear friend.  We paid the ticket worth Php 250.00 each which includes the raffle and meal stubs. Funny that I didn’t noticed that while walking on a red carpet, I waved to my former classmates like a celeb in an Oscar’s and even posed for a pic in their big tarpo Hahaha…  We started the night with a cocktail.  I had 2 glasses ofMargarita then afterwards had Barako coffee (the main sponsor of the event).  Went inside the gymnasium, looked for the tables reserved for our batch (87), chatted a little and munched our dinner.  The program started at around 9 pm so I expected that it will end late.  No worries about our security ‘coz I know there are hidden security cameras all over the campus.
Alumni were presented by batch and proud to say that batch ’87 has numerous attendees, I think second to the host batch. :D  There were 2 bands who performed that night, the first one is Candazo Band (lead by an aspiring Congressman of Marikina City, District 2) and Serenity band (managed by Randy Santiago).  They filled the night with the 80′s music which made a huddled dance floor. The prizes for the raffle are also remarkable and batch ’85 and ’86 graced the night with their production numbers.  Too bad that I had to leave the place at 2 am for an emergency reason.  But I really had a great night! And to you Batch ’86…. CONGRATULATIONS!!! for a job well done.  Next year’s homecoming is out batch turn to host the event.  Hope we could make it like what they did or even more.  Mabuhay ka Roosevelt College Marikina!
