Entering Primary Level

Sean Kirk finally graduated from preschool!  He spent his three years in preschool in Green Gables Academy and his kinda excited to enter grade one.  I can sense that he’s looking forward for his new school (Roosevelt College Cainta) eventhough he’s telling me that he’s kinda scared because he knows noone there.  I assured him that he will have new friends just like when he entered nursery.  Surely Sean will still go a loooooong way to finish his studies but he is now telling me his dreams when he grow up which put a big smile on my face and made me think that it’s time   of going to Plano cosmetic dentist.   I told him to study hard and surely he will achieve what he wants.

I was a proud mom when Sean led the National Anthem.  He was so confident while singing it and I am the one who’s nervous.  Hehehehehe….  Got surprised when he was given 2 awards… Most Generous (which he also got in nursery) and Most Industrious. :)

Seventy Eighth Year of Tatay

My Tatay (father) just celebrated his 78th birthday last Sunday (March 21, 2010).  We had a small party for immediate family member.  I brought cake and softdrinks, my eldest brother a rice cake, my other brother a beefsteak and my mom with PenPen cooked pancit palabok and shrimp in tamarind base soup which is Tatay’s favorite.  I saw a big smile from Tatay as he sang his birthday song repeatedly with his grandchildren.:D  I felt blissful somehow that he enjoyed his day, despite of his early second childhood due to his diabetes.  He even asked me some questions like what are the reasons for hair loss because he noticed that he is balding. Hahahahaha….

But I am glad that my father is getting better now when before he almost lost his memory.  Can you just imagine that he cannot recollect our names except from my mother.  But with his illness he proved that he really love this woman in his life.  That inspite of his short memory loss, he never forgot her name.  Is that what you call true love? Mmmmmm…. So sweet. :)

Julio Iglesias in Manila

I was able to avail 5 complimentary tickets of Julio Iglesias’ Heart of Gold concert here in Manila.  I got the tickets from our office, which I think gave away 200 compli tickets.  It was held at Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Q.C. on March 20, 2010 at 9 pm.  Julio is the famous Spanish singer who has sold over 200 million albums all over the world in multi languages.  At the age of 67 (born on September 23, 1943) he is still so dynamic and his voice is still powerful.  I wonder if he uses enzyte or other food supplements to keep him active and looks young.
Julio sang 2 hours straight, the only rest he had is when Sharon Cuneta sang her part on their duets.. :D  Yes! Sharon guested that night and she did 2 songs with him.  One English and one Tagalog song.  But I was quite disappointed because Iglesias didn’t sing his famous song “To All The Girls I’ve Loved Before”.  It’s not only me who’s expecting it because I heard some shouting… “To All The Girls, To All The Girls!!!”  But it’s ok.  The concert ended at 11 pm and thank God that Sean Kirk, Gina, my neighbors Vangie and son John and of course me reached home safe and sound.

My New Webcam

I just bought my new webcam for my pc at CDR King in Sta. Lucia East Grandmall for a minimal price of P280.00.  Isn’t it cheap??? :D   It has effects which I am enjoying right now.  Here’s one of the effect (black&white) which is cool for me because I won’t be needing eye cream for dark circles anymore. Hahahahaha…

At first I thought it won’t work and have to return it.  I had failed installation in Windows XP, then I tried in Vista and it worked!!!  I’ll post some other pic of mine using different effects and frames in the future.  I’m glad I found this webcam which is cheap but elating. :D

Forever Young

Fountain of Youth.  Everyone wants to know what it is and where to be found.  Is it really for real?  There is no such thing literally.  And everyone of us won’t stay young forever.  It’s only a figure of speech for people who look a lot younger than their age.  To name a few, there’s Cory Quirino.  You won’t even thinks she’s 57.  My gosh! She only looks like in her early 40s.  Another is Gretchen Baretto who’s 42 but looks like on her early 30s and Edu Manzano who’s on the 5th decade of his life but he looks like 40.  Wondering how they keep their looks? Me too? Are they taking hgh supplements or herbal supplements?  Or it’s in their way of living healthy foods, doing regular exercise, good outlook in life are some factors to keep one look and feel young.  Do you have any idea to achieve this younger look?  Please share.
