Missing Hobbies

These pics were taken few years back. Long before I became a mom. You can see I am not a traditional type of woman who just stay at home and do the usual household chores (though I do those stuffs too). I love outdoor activities such as mountain hiking, swimming, riding a motorbike, etc… I’m kinda adventurous person (di halata ano?). Actually I miss doing these things. Didn’t able to do it eversince I became mom. I have my priorities now and besides noone to accompany me anymore. Friends became busy to their own stuffs.
I miss the feeling when on the mountain’s peak. It feels like I’m on top of the world (though literally I am hahaha…) Let me choose going to the mall or
outdoors, I’ll choose outdoors for I love nature so much. How I wish to go back hiking again but I guess I have to see someone from insurance marketing. You know what I mean. Hahahaha… And gather all my camping gadgets too.

I just attended (for the first time) Roosevelt College Marikina’s Alumni Homecoming. I went with my former classmate Met Met who became a dear friend. We paid the ticket worth Php 250.00 each which includes the raffle and meal stubs. Funny that I didn’t noticed that while walking on a red carpet, I waved to my former classmates like a celeb in an Oscar’s and even posed for a pic in their big tarpo Hahaha… We started the night with a cocktail. I had 2 glasses of
Margarita then afterwards had Barako coffee (the main sponsor of the event). Went inside the gymnasium, looked for the tables reserved for our batch (87), chatted a little and munched our dinner. The program started at around 9 pm so I expected that it will end late. No worries about our security ‘coz I know there are hidden security cameras all over the campus.Alumni were presented by batch and proud to say that batch ’87 has numerous attendees, I think second to the host batch.
There were 2 bands who performed that night, the first one is Candazo Band (lead by an aspiring Congressman of Marikina City, District 2) and Serenity band (managed by Randy Santiago). They filled the night with the 80′s music which made a huddled dance floor. The prizes for the raffle are also remarkable and batch ’85 and ’86 graced the night with their production numbers. Too bad that I had to leave the place at 2 am for an emergency reason. But I really had a great night! And to you Batch ’86…. CONGRATULATIONS!!! for a job well done. Next year’s homecoming is out batch turn to host the event. Hope we could make it like what they did or even more. Mabuhay ka Roosevelt College Marikina!
On Going Diet – Third Month
I’m now on my third month of diet. I wonder what weight loss products will help me trim down fast. As to date, I only lost 2 inches from my measurement (waist line) and 7 lbs. from my weight. I know I have to exercise at the same time for faster weight loss but what can I do, I really find it tiring. I just came home from my friend’s father burial and met long time friends whom I haven’t seen for a long time. They noticed that I slimmed down a bit.
Well, I guess my effort is working!!! It’s better to lose weight gradually than never. Hahahaha
Happy Easter Sunday
Another Holy Week has passed, another Catholic Christian activities were done. It started on Palm Sunday and lasted today, Easter Sunday. As usual I attended the procession of Our Lady of Abadoned Church (OLA) in Marikina on Holy Wednesday and Good Friday. I am a St. Jude Thaddeus follower and been doing it for 30 years. I started at an early age and now doing it with Sean Kirk.
At an early age of 6, I am not expecting him to finish the procession because it’s really tiring so it ended up with riding on St. Jude’s float (karo). Thank God that he doesn’t need an allergy bedding to sleep soundly those exhausting nights. That’s one thing that I should be thankful to God.Sean is such a healthy young boy.

Today, we attended a mass. It is so meaningful and first time I attended an Easter mass, that after the homily, Father Arnel, the Parish Priest of Our Lady of Fatima in Greenpark Village, Cainta, Rizal asked the parishioners to put out the candles that we brought and let the Lay Ministers lit the candles and it’s like were being rebaptized. I regret that I didn’t able to bring candle with me. I can say generally that I did good this year’s holy week as I observed it wholeheartedly. How did you spend yours?
Graceland
These pics were taken last January of 2009 during the seminar/orientation as we are new in our careers as disbursing officers and bookkeepers in our respective schools. The venue was in Graceland Estates and Country Club in Tayabas, Quezon, Philippines. I was mesmerized by the
beautiful scenery (be at night or day) of the place. The climate was soothing cold especially at night, the rooms are very cozy and comfy, the foods are great, and of course the seminar itself was very informative as we were being prepared to enter in our own battlefield.
