The Philippine’s 15th President

Congratulations to our new president Benigno Simeon Aquino III!  He preferred to be called PNOY because according to him it is closer to the people and to use BSA as his initial to commemorate his father.  I just watched his inauguration together with Vice President Jejomar C. Binay.   Pnoy is the 15th president of the Philippines and his mom is the 11th.  This is also a history to be noted, mother and son in presidency.  Today is a special holiday and we ought to watch the reason of this  holiday.  I was so relaxed watching the program over GMA Network  sitting on a patio furniture while eating my lunch.  Sean was by my  side and I tried to explain in his wee little mind what was going on.  Guess he understood. :-)
International star Charice Pempengco sang the National Anthem as the program starts.  I was teary eyed while listening to her golden voice (don’t know why).  It is nice to saw Pnoy  riding in his official car with plate no. 1, stepping for the first time in Malacañang Palace as the head of the nation, heading the oath taking of the local and national officials, and held the first cabinet meeting.  I’m sure majority of Filipinos all over the world witnessed the said event and hoping for changes.  We are hoping that the new President will make the Philippine progress for the next 6 years.  To you President Aquino…  May the good Lord bless you and give you the best of health and wisdom to rule our beloved country, the Philippines.  How about you, how do you picture the Philippines under his administration?

Noynoy – The Next Philippine President

The first ever automated national election which was held last May 10 was successful.  Before the election, lot of people speculated that there would be a failure of election.  Kudos to Comelec and Smartmatic peeps who proved them wrong!  As of this writing, the leading Presidentable is Benigno C. Aquino III a.k.a. Noynoy Aquino who I voted. :)  I think he needs some testosterone creams to make him look more macho. :D  I believe that he can make our country progressive together with the rest candidates who will win the race.  Let’s thank the Lord for the peaceful and successful election.

Damaged Ozone Layer

This El Nino Phenomenon thing already damaged billions of pesos of our Agricultural crops and it’s still on going.  Too bad that it will still last for some time.  Due to extensive heat,  houses made of woods easily get burned which resulted to massive lost of properties.  And it also damages people’s health.  We  heard from the news that some died from heat stroke.  So what are some of the precautions that we must do to refrain from heat stroke?  If you have a hypertension, take your medication religiously, or take irvingia or vitamins.  When you’re always exposed to the sun, bring wet towels and always drink liquids to avoid dehydration.  And don’t forget to apply sunblock for your skin protection. Always exposed to ultraviolet rays is no joke.
Is this El Nino the result of the damaged Ozone Layer?  If this is one, do you wonder how hot it is in the coming years?  Are we going to experience climate in Middle East?  Now, it reached 37 degree?  How hot in the future??? My gosh!  I don’t want to think about it.

Is Global Crisis Over

You can see and meet Filipinos around the world.  Yes and most of them are Overseas  Filipino Workers (OFW).  Why is that?  Is it because of Philippine’s hopeless economy?  or because of the Global Crisis that every nation is experiencing?  It’s probably both.  For Filipinos, global crisis isn’t over yet.  There are numerous of unemployed (still growing) and having a college degree doesn’t mean having an employment assurance.  Good thing and we should be thankful that there are huge demand for OFW. Like for instance there are jobs in Philadelphia, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and other countries to apply to and who recognize Filipino talents and skills.

POEA JOB FAIR

Why are we having this poor economy?  Is it because we are known to be the no. 1 corrupt country in the whole wide world?  Which also became the no. 1 reason that investors are hesitant to have business with us?  When will this stop?  When will our nation stand on its best?  That’s the most difficult questions that nobody can answer.  Today that National election is getting closer, you may ask, is there really a  Presidential, Vice Presidential and Senatorial aspirants who can save us from drowning?

Acceptance: For Happy Life

“I am proud to say that I am a fortunate homosexual man. I am very blessed to be who I am.”  This is the statement that Ricky Martin (the former Menudo member) posted in his Twitter.  I was surprised but not really shocked when I heard the news.  It happens to some male individuals.  It’s just that this adorable singer is popular so it was sensationalized.  I admire these people because they have the courage to admit to the public who they really are.

For instance, remember Rustom Padilla (Filipino celeb now known as Bb Gandanghari)? who joined Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) for the purpose of telling the public that he’s a gay?  After the announcement he lives a happy life now.  So I’m sure Ricky Martin will have the same.  He will live a worry-free and happy life with his twin sons.  To you Ricky, if ever you passed by my blog, I wanna tell you that I am proud of you to have the courage in admitting to the public even it may affect your profession. Pls. visit Manila once more.  We missed u a lot.  Mabuhay ka!!!  So you guys out there!  Accepting  the truth will set you free so go! go! go! :D
