Esophageal CA

What is this condition?  The question I had in mind when I visited my uncle in the hospital.  CA…  I know it’s short term for cancer.  OMG! My uncle is suffering from cancer?  This is the truth that really depressed me.  The truth that up to now my aunt doesn’t know.  I know she will be distressed upon knowing this. My uncle had been confined in the hospital for almost a month now.  They are waiting for the biopsy result to know if he will undergo operation or not.  Can you imagine the expenses they are going through? They need 2,500.00/day for the medicines.  It is really painful in the pocket.  Luckily that he doesn’t need an adult diapers because it is additional burden.  But I patronage adult diapers for my father.  I buy 3 packs a week!  My uncle got the cancer from too much smoking and heavy drinking.

So to those who smokes and drinks heavy… start refraining from those vices before it’s too late.  To my Tito and to my other relatives who suffer from sickness… You’re always in my prayer.

Goodbye Mia

Who is Mia in my life?  Mia… the name we gave to our Yamaha Mio Motorcycle.  Sad to say Mia was stolen last Sunday (August 14, 2011) in front of Tropical Hut, Q-Plaza, Cainta, Rizal at around 10:30 in the morning while me and Sean were shopping at Puregold Supermarket.  She has been with us for three years.  So can you imagine how I feel when I found out that she was lost.

What shocked me is that, when I reported the incident at the police station, they told me that there are series of Yamaha Mio carnapping in the said place…  Why the management not doing anything to solve it?.  Are the security guards have connivance with the carnappers?  I just hope they’re not.

Highway Patrol Group (HPG) is the team that helps the car owners to recover stolen vehicles.  But to my disappointment the processing of Nationwide Flash Alarm is quite slow.   The officer, herself told me that sometimes it takes 3 months to be on the database of Nationwide Flash Alarm.  What the ****!!!  I really hope and praying that I’ll see Mia again.

GOOD VISION IN A DOWNPOUR

How to achieve good vision while driving during a heavy downpour.

We are not sure why it is so effective; just try this method when
it rains heavily.

This method was told by a Police friend who had experienced and
confirmed it. It is useful…even driving at night.

Most of the motorists would turn on HIGH or FASTEST SPEED
of the wipers during heavy downpour, yet the visibility in front of the
windshield is still bad……

In the event you face such a situation, just put on your SUN GLASSES
(any model will do), and miracle!

All of a sudden, your visibility in front of your windshield is perfectly
clear, as if there is no rain.

Make sure you always have a pair of SUN GLASSES in your car.

You are not only helping yourself to drive safely with good vision, but
also might save your friend’s life by giving him this idea..

Try it yourself and share it with your friends!???

Amazing, you still see the drops on the windshield, but not the sheet
of rain falling!

You can see where the rain bounces off the road.  It works to eliminate
the “blindness” from passing cars.

Or the “kickup” if you are following a car in the rain.

They ought to teach this little tip in driver’s training..  It really does
work.

This is a good warning. I wonder how many people knew about this.

Goodbye Harry Potter

Just got home from watching the movie Harry Potter, Deathly Hallows part 2.  I have mixed emotions right now.  Happy because the movie was done great and sad because I won’t see any new episode ever again because this is the last one.  I watched the 2D movie at Sta. Lucia East Grandmall.  I know that 3D is better but can’t afford the ticket amounting 225.00 while the 2D is only 150.00.  The speakers made the watching more entertaining.

This is one of my bonding time with my son, Sean.  What I noticed is that we frequently watch movies nowadays and it’s pretty good.  At least I am catching up with Sean.  The last movie we watched is Green Lantern.  Love to watch on a big screen rather than at home.  Well maybe if I got a new home theatre that’s the time I’ll watch these marvelous movies at the comfort of my home.

Well, I think it’s time to have a nice slumber.  Good night people. God bless us all :)

House Guest

Finally, my balikbayan guest from San Jose, California arrived!  You have no idea how much preparation I did.  General cleaning of the house, we even use farmhouse stool to reach those ceiling, got some groceries to refill the refrigerator and  stocks for personal hygiene, and the like.

Today is his 3rd day and he’ll only stay 7 days more.  It’s kinda short visit after 28 years of leaving Philippines.  Anyways his primary purpose is to attend his high school reunion. :)

Having a house guest is quite hard especially if the person is not close to you.  You know, feels like a stranger even you know the person.  You’re worried that he might not like the food that you served.  Things like that.  But thank God that Tito Niel is not choosy.  He eats whatever I cook. :)
