Precious Jewelries

Precious jewelries are meant to be cherished.  Why?  With obvious reason…. it’s pricey!  But what are the most famous jewelries?  Is it gold, diamond, silver, titanium or other gems?  For me diamond with white gold is the best for women. Especially when it was given by your boyfriend while proposing for marriage. :) But what can you say about titanium bracelets for men?  Actually I haven’t seen one.  Other gems like jade, opal, turquiose are nice too.  Well any jewelries are meant to be kept and cherished.

What can you say about these men’s rings?  This one is a GOLD OVER SILVER GENUINE DIAMOND ONYX RING size 10 and Made in USA.  The original price is $269.99 and I’m selling this for $200.00 only.

And this one is a GOLD OVER SILVER GENUINE CROSS DIAMOND RING size 10 and also Made in USA.  It’s original price is $199.00 and I’m selling it for $150.00.  Are you interested?  Just send me email at marjonelle@yahoo.com

Insurance for Our Protection

I used to work in a pre-need company (Eduplan Phils., Inc.) which deals with educational and pension plan.  That time, way back the 90′s, the industry was a big hit not until the time that one huge pre-need company failed to pay their scholars and pensioners their benefits due to mismanagement of funds.  From then on other companies were affected too.   Little by little people’s trust decreases ’til few subscribe for the insurance.

Nowadays health insurance, car insurance and home insurance as well are still salable.  And I think these are the insurances that we must have.   Being sick is no joke, not to mention those expensive medicines, hospital bills and professional fees.  Such a pain in the neck Arrgg!  Losing home from fire and other calamities is also a major problem.  It’s not easy to build new house these days.  Insurances are still a YES thing to me.  How about you?

Ondoy – the Killer Typhoon chapter 3

I can’t sleep well that night.  I went down again at around 4 am and saw that the flood subsided.  At around 6 am, I phoned Ate Ime (my sister-in-law) that she had to replace me coz I badly need to go home.  She came at around 8 am and I left the hospital.  I had to go home that morning on feet.  It is about 7 kms. away from my place.  On my way home, I tracked muddy and messy streets.  People are so busy cleaning up the traces Ondoy had left.  I just can’t believe what I saw… It was a tremendous disaster!

I reached the main gate of Green Park Village in Cainta, Rizal  at around noon only to found out that the village was still flooded.  I seated with the other residents at the waiting shed and heard different stories of their experiences.  I felt hungry and decided to buy something to eat and to have something for my family and friends.  I walked to Q-Plaza and discovered that Mercury Drug and Tropical Hut Stores are mobbed by people.  I had no strength to struggle there because I felt that I gonna faint. No water, no food, no medicine (not to mention the hot weather) to take but I still managed to buy at the carinderia from a long line for rice and fried eggs.  Yes you read it right! an-hour line just for rice and fried eggs!  Anyway I was relieved from hunger.

I went back to the gate with  the take home foods.  I waited for the water to subside a little coz I’m afraid that the netbook I am carrying will soak to the flood.  At around 4 pm I saw Janet (my neighbor) who will try to wade home.  I went with her and discovered that the water was still around 3 to 4 ft.  I reached Vangie’s house (where Sean and Gina evacuated) and spent our overnight.

It was Monday morning when we managed to go back to our house and shocked with what I saw.  Muddy mattress, furnitures, appliances, motorbike, the whole house!!!  Oh my God, we don’t know where to start the cleaning… I felt tired even without starting yet…

Mall vs. Tiangge

Shopping malls and flea markets or Christmas Bazaars  ”tiangges” are now starting to get crowded.  People are getting busy shopping for Christmas.  Shopping at the tiangge is quite  practical.  Goods are cheaper and there’s also lot of varieties to choose from, though I’m not sure of the quality.

Shopping at the mall is quite more convenient for me, not to mention the aircontioned place.  What I’ve noticed is that even the commodities at the mall is more expensive, you can still see long lines at the cashiers.  Thanks to barcode scanner that the transactions become faster.

Who are the people buying at the mall?  They are the average earners to rich customers.  People who received gift certificates as bonus (they have no choice but to use it), people who uses credit cards (you can’t use it at tiangges) and people who have short patience in overcrowded place. But don’t take me wrong, you can see all types of crowd in tiangges, from richest to poorest.  Because some of tiangges are class too (Greenhills for example), because I believe commodities there are of good qualities too.

How about you, where do you prefer to shop?

The Joy of Having a Child

Having a child is the most precious gift I received from God. I was so excited when I learned about the baby inside my womb. Though I knew it when I’m nearly on they 7th month of pregnancy. Weird huh? Long story…

I was so excited and realized that I only have short time left to buy some stuffs for my baby. I went to the department store and enjoyed window shopping first. Then I decided to buy layette set and other infant clothings so that he (learned it would be a boy) have something to wear. Then went to baby cribs section and bought one too together with pillows, blanket and bed sheets. Oh yes! I bought feeding bottles too.

Sean was born on November 10, 2003. Yes he’s turning 6 next month :) Time really flies soooo fast. Few months after he was born, I bought a baby stroller to roam him around and baby gym and play mat which I know will help his motor and cognitive development. Now that he’s a preschooler, I bought him some educational toys, kiddie books, and toy chest to put all his stuffs in. He learned that easily ;)   Oh! by the way I just bought him a kiddie wardrobe and saw a big smile on his face.

I don’t know if you parents out there would agree with me that we like to give the best to our children even it means spending everything to them and nothing left to us. And give them the best education by sending them to good schools because I believe that it’s the only thing that we can give them that can’t be stolen by anyone.
