Healthy Meals

Our boss treated us at Tong Yang Restaurant in Mega Mall on his birthday last week.  That was my first time to eat in that kind of restaurant.  It’s like Hot Pot and Shabu Shabu as they said.  There were pots and stoves at the middle of the table and you will be the one to cook what you will eat.

There were varieties of food to cook.  I can say that they are all healthy foods.  There are vegetables, meats, seafoods, desserts, pastas, Japanese cuisine as well as Koreans.  I wonder if they sell hgh supplements… Hehehehe.. All you have to do is heat the stove, fry your foods, make your own soup and presto!  Happy Dining!!!

It costs Php399.00 each.  Fair enough coz we really left the place with our tummy soooooo full. :D

My Favorite Fruit

Guess what it is???  It’s….. a ripe mango!!!  Yes, I can eat a ton of this in just one eating. Hahahaha.  And I am so lucky that Philippines is abundant of this fruit.  As a matter of fact, mango is our national fruit.  I wanna taste variety of mangoes too.  I heard there is an african mango and mangoes from India and Burma.  Hope to taste these soon.

Mango is a nutritious fruit as it contains calories, moisture, protein, fat, carbohydrates, fiber, ash, calcium, phosphorous, iron, vitamin A (carotene), thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, ascorbic acid, tryptophan, methionine and lysine.  But people with diabetes must east ripe mango with control.  Doctors say that it is so sweet that diabetic person may only eat half of it a day.

Principal’s Treat

This pics were taken on August 2010 when our new School Head, Mrs. Loida Alcantare treated us for a fine dinner at the King Bee Restaurant in Antipolo, Rizal.  We were with her new former teachers and staff who brought her to her new school.
The foods are surelymouth watering (I love Chinese foods). Good thing that there is phentermine to suppressed my appetite (you know I’m on diet) :D  I had chicken feet, puto with condensed milk, of course pansit and my favorite siomai.  That was the first time I’m with my new boss.  And it was fun! :)

Office Gimmick

Me and Sean just attended my officemate, Melba’s birthday bash ( I won’t tell you how young she is) in Antipolo City last night.  We had some cocktail dink (unleaded), davidoff and ate lot of foods.  Some played poker, some sang in videoke (I’m one of them, or is it me who only sang? hahahaha), and some chit chatted.  Sean entertained us by singing “Beat It” by Michael Jackson with choreography. :D  I just hope he’ll be better on this craft as he grows up.  We decided to leave the party at around 10 pm and said goodbye to some other guests.  Some of them said “Bye Michael”, addressing to my Sean.  Bet they liked his performance. LOL

Reminiscing High School Days

I just attended (for the first time) Roosevelt College Marikina’s Alumni Homecoming.  I went with my former classmate Met Met who became a dear friend.  We paid the ticket worth Php 250.00 each which includes the raffle and meal stubs. Funny that I didn’t noticed that while walking on a red carpet, I waved to my former classmates like a celeb in an Oscar’s and even posed for a pic in their big tarpo Hahaha…  We started the night with a cocktail.  I had 2 glasses ofMargarita then afterwards had Barako coffee (the main sponsor of the event).  Went inside the gymnasium, looked for the tables reserved for our batch (87), chatted a little and munched our dinner.  The program started at around 9 pm so I expected that it will end late.  No worries about our security ‘coz I know there are hidden security cameras all over the campus.
Alumni were presented by batch and proud to say that batch ’87 has numerous attendees, I think second to the host batch. :D  There were 2 bands who performed that night, the first one is Candazo Band (lead by an aspiring Congressman of Marikina City, District 2) and Serenity band (managed by Randy Santiago).  They filled the night with the 80′s music which made a huddled dance floor. The prizes for the raffle are also remarkable and batch ’85 and ’86 graced the night with their production numbers.  Too bad that I had to leave the place at 2 am for an emergency reason.  But I really had a great night! And to you Batch ’86…. CONGRATULATIONS!!! for a job well done.  Next year’s homecoming is out batch turn to host the event.  Hope we could make it like what they did or even more.  Mabuhay ka Roosevelt College Marikina!
