Losing A Friend

Losing a friend because of death is mournful.  That’s what I felt this morning when we visited Sir Dave (teacher at Teresa NHS) at their house but we were told that he was rushed to the hospital.  Did he use an air ambulance service? Coz if he does, it might be serious.  So we left and headed to Morong Provincial Hospital in Morong, Rizal.  To our surprise we were 10 minutes late.  Late from what?  Sir Dave grasped his last breath 10 minutes before we arrived.

As we entered the room, we heard his family and relatives weeping and that moment we knew that he already passed away from colon cancer.  What annoying is that the doctor only confirmed his death after 30 minutes!!!  My gosh!! As if I wanna tell the doctor…  yes we already know. :(  Sir Dave is only 39 years old.  Too young to die not to mention that he left his 7-year and 3-month old kids.  Poor little angels they won’t grow up with their father.  To the family of my good friend, my condolences and to you Sir Dave… rest in peace and I know you’re now with our God, our Creator.

Goodbye Mia

Who is Mia in my life?  Mia… the name we gave to our Yamaha Mio Motorcycle.  Sad to say Mia was stolen last Sunday (August 14, 2011) in front of Tropical Hut, Q-Plaza, Cainta, Rizal at around 10:30 in the morning while me and Sean were shopping at Puregold Supermarket.  She has been with us for three years.  So can you imagine how I feel when I found out that she was lost.

What shocked me is that, when I reported the incident at the police station, they told me that there are series of Yamaha Mio carnapping in the said place…  Why the management not doing anything to solve it?.  Are the security guards have connivance with the carnappers?  I just hope they’re not.

Highway Patrol Group (HPG) is the team that helps the car owners to recover stolen vehicles.  But to my disappointment the processing of Nationwide Flash Alarm is quite slow.   The officer, herself told me that sometimes it takes 3 months to be on the database of Nationwide Flash Alarm.  What the ****!!!  I really hope and praying that I’ll see Mia again.

Thank You

We just celebrated my mom’s “76th” birthday!  We are very grateful that she went out of the hospital before her birthday.  What a wonderful gift from up above.  She is now recovering well from her surgery, thank God.  We spent exactly 2 weeks in Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center in Marikina City and generally I can say that their services are satisfactory.  Nurses and doctors are so courteous and sympathetic so with the utility men. I think I have to give them thank you cards as well as to the people who gave their support financially and morally to my mom.  In behalf of my family,  from the bottom of our hearts, we thank you all. :)

Heroes of Today

Heroes are the people who sacrifice for the welfare of others.  Thats the meaning of hero for me.  And nowadays, I see some people I really admire because they’re sacrificing for others benefit.   Let site the chaos happened in Egypt.  Former President Hosni Mubarak is a hero for me.  He sacrificed his position to have peace in his country.  Another are the people who helped the people in Japan after the earthquake and the tsunami.  I saw new heroines in the person of the 4 nurses who didn’t leave Japan because they can’t leave their patients.  They sacrifice their lives for the benefits of their patients.  And also the people who fight the fire atop of the nuclear power plant in Fukushima.  They know the risk of the radiation and the possible blasting of the plant but still they’re there to control the fire.

There are still lots of unmentioned people here, REAL HEROES.  Thinking of their loved ones whose praying for their safety and wanting to see them again made me emotional.   I don’t know if I can do the same thing.  Really.. can’t tell if I can be a hero to other people aside from my family.  That’s why I really admire these people whose taking their own risks to save other people’s lives.  Mabuhay kayo!

Tatay’s Fast Recovery

My Tatay just got home from a 4-day confinement at Marikina St. VincentHospital due to his malnourishment.  He became one because he refuses to eat.  He was given bags of dextrose, vitamins and medicines.  He recovered so fast as he eats solid foods now.  Before the confinement he eats only banana (which you have to grind well before you give him) and milk.

I remember Tatay used to travel a lot.  He travelled with his colleagues.  I wish we could still bring Tatay to places he wants.  I wish I could bring him to Boracay, Palawan, Davao and even to carnival cruises for he really loves to go places.  Tatay so please get very well and let’s travel.  Love you so much.
