Sweat It Out

Once again we will be celebrating our high school (Roosevelt College Marikina) reunion on Saturday but this time, it’s kinda special for it is our Silver Anniversary. Yes! It’s already 25 years since I finished my secondary education. Time really flies so fast huh?

In connection with this, we’ll be rendering a special number in the tune of Jomais. I am having fun doing this because I really love dancing. And it is the only time that I am able to stretch my muscles and release some sweats too. :D

I just hope that we use Euphonix on Saturday to have a quality sound music. :) I am 100% affirmative that we’re going to have fun this coming Saturday. I am so excited to see old friends again. And also good luck to our dance number.

Arlene Goes to Maynila

Most of the time we are thinking of visiting places out of town. We often neglect the place near us which is worth a visit too. I admit I am one of these people. But not this time because me me and Sean together with friends and family went to Manila on April 12, 2012. We left the house at 7:30 am and our first destiantion… Fort Santiago in Intramuros, Manila.   We took some shots and roamed around Intramuros.   Unluckily we didn’t able to watch the Light and Sound due to some technical problem.

After that we headed to Manila Ocean Park but before we entered the park we had our picnic lunch. We had pork adobo and fried chicken with my own version of gravy. :)  We started watching the four fantastic show of Marine Life Show, Penguin Talk Show, All Star Bird Show and the Musical Fountain Show which is their main event.  By the way I purchased our tickets via metrodeal.com for the amount of Php 399.00 each instead of Php 700.00. Nice deal huh?

We also went to Luneta Park as an interval to those shows. It’s nice to show the kids what they are taught in school. Our trip is just like a field trip in school.  And surely it was fun!!! and informative too!!! Nice bonding with my family, friends and my Sean.  Care to try?

HOT AND WET SUMMER

Just took a bath for the 3rd time today. And the reason is because it’s 34 degrees hot! It is really hot here in the Philippines but of course it is expected because summer just started. But I’m surprised sometimes that it rains. Yes it rains on summer! Thought of having a downspout diverter for rain barrel which will also be preparation for rainy days.

What’s instore for us this summer? I have no plan to go swimming at the beach nor the swimming pool. What my plan is to go to Banaue Rice Terraces (to see one of the 8 Wonders of the World), then to Sagada (to witness the Hanging Coffins), then to Baguio City. Wanna chill to those places. Don’t you think those are the perfect places to go this summer?

Great Hawaiian Party

Sean and I attended King’s (my godchild) 7th birthday last Sunday. I can say that it was a good one. We were ask to wear our best Hawaian outfit but sad to say, I only found one for Sean. :( So what I wore is just a plain shirt and tights and wrapped a “malong” around my waist. I should say it’s more described as tribal outfit. Hehehehe….

The party would be much better if the rain stopped pouring. Well anyway, there’s a saying that if it rains the celebrant is being blessed by God from heaven. The party was jump packed by games, prizes, foods, entertainment and guests. Sean enjoyed it so much.   Too bad  that I left my camera at home. Didn’t able to shoot pics. :(  There’s magic show, bubble show, photo booth (which we enjoyed much) and face paint. It would be merrier if Tom Kuhn was there to complete the fun.

My friend Joy (King’s mother) did it well. I heard that she’s the only one who planned and prepared the party of  her one and only child. Kudos to you Joy! Happy Birthday King! You made your mom and dad so proud. Happy Birthday to you too Mommy Joy. You deserve to have a son like King. God bless you and your family too.

Farewell Totong

I felt the goosebumps over me when I heard that my cousin Rolando “Totong” Diego passed away. He’s my cousin who underwent kidney transplant ten years ago. And he died because of the same sickness. Good thing that I have led lightbulb which I can leave on the whole night that helps me shed away the fears I feel.

Totong and I grew up together in the same neighborhood, studied secondary education in the same school and graduated at the same year. I remember him as a jolly but a bit shy guy. Someone who can rely on and someone who will defend you from foes. I will surely miss him…   Totong… may you rest in peace as you are now with our Almighty Father.
