Summer Sickness

Summer is already here and it will last for 2 months.  Philippines will be having long summer for we have El Niño Phenomena (long dry season) which already damaged billion of pesos in agriculture and livestock.  Too bad huh? :(   When summer season comes, illnesses and deseased comes along too.  What are these?  And what are the cures, remedies and prevention? Mmmmm….

1.  Hypertension -  don’t ever forget to take your medication.  Reduce sodium (salt) in your diet, limit alcohol consumption, and refrain from eating foods which contain high cholesterol and fats.  And don’t forget to exercise.

2.  Dengue – mosquitos with dengue comes out every summer.  Clean the area, remove all stagnant water, and use mosquito repellent on skin.

3.  Skin disease – avoid skin contact with a person with skin blisters and avoid sharing of towels.  Must know eczema treatment and other skin ointments.  And use sunblock especially if exposed long under the sun.

4.  Chickenpox and measles – must have some vaccine shots to prevent these illnesses.

5.  Sore eyes – avoid touching your eyes with dirty hands.  Use eye drops to refresh your eyes.
